Privacy Policy

kouworks ("we") deeply respects the privacy of users of the iOS app "KidsMask" (the "App"). This policy explains how the App handles information.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not collect any personal information, usage data, or face data. We operate no servers, and none of your videos, photos, or face information is ever transmitted off your device. No user account is required.

2. Face Data Handling

The core function of the App is face detection and mosaic (blur) processing. We want to be completely clear about how face-related data is handled:

KidsMask performs face detection entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework and bundled machine learning models (YuNet CoreML, MIT licensed; dlib, public domain). The App does not collect, store, or transmit face data or biometric information.
During processing, only face bounding box coordinates (x, y, width, height) are used. These coordinates are used only during the active processing of your selected video or photo, are held in memory only, and are discarded immediately after processing completes (zero retention).
The App does not create or retain any persistent face templates, embeddings, biometric identifiers, or facial recognition database. Any intermediate data used internally to tell one face from another within the same photo or video is computed transiently in memory solely to apply the mosaic; it is never written to storage, never leaves the device, and is discarded as soon as processing completes. The App has no face pre-registration or enrollment feature.
No face data is ever sent to or shared with any external server or third party. There is no external storage location where such data could be kept.
The App makes no network requests during face detection or media processing.
KidsMask contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, no advertising networks, and no telemetry systems.

3. Video and Photo Processing (On-Device)

All processing, including face detection and mosaic application, runs entirely on your device. The videos and photos you process never leave your device.

4. Photo Library Access

The App accesses your photo library to import the videos and photos you select and to save the processed results. Access is limited to your explicit actions, and permission can be changed at any time from the iOS Settings app.

5. In-App Purchases

Upgrading to Pro is processed through Apple's StoreKit. Purchase and restore information is managed by Apple; we do not obtain or store any payment information.

6. Third Parties and Network Communication

Because we collect no information, there is nothing to share with third parties. The App uses no analytics or advertising SDKs and does not transmit user data externally, including during face detection and media processing.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for families. As described above, we collect no information, so we do not obtain any information about children either.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised as needed. If there are significant changes, we will announce them on this page.
